Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?
My office is located in Encino, California. I am offering in-person sessions for local clients in the San Fernando Valley/Greater Los Angeles area. I am also offering virtual sessions throughout California, including for local clients who prefer it due to its convenience and flexibility.

Let’s be real. Therapy isn’t cheap. And life-changing experiences are priceless.

Material things get lost, broken, or stolen. Therapy is an investment that continues to pay dividends throughout your life.

Investing in therapy is like investing in a high-quality, solid Kate Spade purse that’s going to last you a long time, instead of buying cheap, easy fast-fashion from H&M.

When you invest in a valuable item, you appreciate it over the years.

The more committed you are to therapy, the more your investment will increase in value.

Your willingness to put it all on the line is the first step to the transformation you want so badly.

You know you can’t afford to keep putting off therapy.

Please call for current rates.

As part of your intake documents, you will provide a credit card to keep on file. Zelle (electronic transfer through your online banking) is the preferred method of payment. However, using your credit card, or your FSA or HSA card, is another option.

I am not in-network with any health insurance plans. However, if you have a PPO plan, you likely have out-of-network benefits. This means you would be reimbursed a percentage of the session rate, after meeting your deductible. By clicking the button below, you can submit your insurance information, and I can check electronically to see what your out-of-network benefits are:

The first step to starting therapy is a free 30 minute phone consultation. This is a chance to get a feel for how I work, ask any questions, and let me know more about your situation.

Before we connect by phone, I’ll send you a questionnaire that helps you organize and share what you want to work on in therapy, and how you’re struggling right now. When we speak, we’ll explore what you want from therapy, as well as whether or not I’d be a good fit for you.

If it feels like a good fit, then we’ll move onto the next step. We’ll coordinate our calendars to find a date and time that works for both of us to meet weekly. I will send you a link to my secure client portal, where you can complete your intake documents before our first session.

Therapy works most effectively when you make a commitment to attending weekly sessions, which allows us to build momentum for your progress. Consistency and commitment are the keys to finding the intimacy you desire.

People often ask me how many sessions they need. It really depends on you, and your unique set of circumstances and struggles. Usually, you can expect to work together for at least 6 months for the best outcome.

Therapy is not a life-long commitment. My goal is for you to feel better, and also feel ready to find the romantic relationship you desire.
